Three damaged parts in the structure that collapsed in Viseu. There were 4 injured.

The company responsible for the structure that gave way during the São Mateus Fair in Viseu on Friday discovered “three damaged pieces” during an inspection early Saturday morning.

According to Viseu Marca, the festival organizer, the origin of these damages is not yet known.

“The structure was duly replaced, and normality has been fully restored on the premises,” the organizer stated, noting that the site “is operating completely normally” tonight.

In response to inquiries about injuries from the incident, the organization detailed that “four people were treated on-site with minor injuries such as abrasions, and it was not necessary to send them to any hospital unit.”

The incident occurred during the concert of Lon3r Johny and ProfJam on Friday evening, when “a small part of the structure in front of the stage” collapsed. The concert was momentarily halted, and a “security perimeter” was immediately established. “Once conditions were secured, the concert resumed, and the festival continued.”

The organization emphasized, “The stage front was expanded to ensure the audience felt comfortable, and the festival continued.”
