The police have reported that individuals aged between 38 and 47 were apprehended in the Cerco neighborhood in Porto. They were found in a vehicle that had been reported stolen two days earlier from the Ramalde area.
The PSP noted that the vehicle was used in a series of burglaries involving breaking store windows with paving stones.
When confronted by the authorities, the suspects fled in the vehicle through various streets in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, some in the wrong direction, before being intercepted at the junction of highways A20 and A44. The vehicle was immobilized while attempting to enter A20 against the flow of traffic.
The report also mentioned that several stolen items, along with objects believed to be used in criminal activities, were found inside the vehicle.
Police efforts led to the seizure of the stolen vehicle and other items, including “a knuckle duster, a wig, a computer, two mobile phones, a black cap, €58.57 in cash, a blue bag with various tools, multiple bank cards, and identification cards issued in other people’s names.”
