Artur Mota stated that firefighters, two from the Salto brigade and another from Montalegre, were injured while battling a fire that broke out at 14:14 today in Mourilhe, located in the northern area of Vila Real district.
The commander further mentioned that one of the firefighters sustained first and second-degree burns on his legs, with all three classified as having minor injuries.

The fire is burning through brushland, with the response being hampered by strong winds and poor access conditions.
According to the website of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC), by 16:45, the firefighting efforts involved 101 personnel, 24 vehicles, and 13 aerial resources.
