Two men, aged 37 and 25, and a 41-year-old woman have been arrested following a series of thefts inside a Duty Free store located in a restricted area of Lisbon airport, the Public Security Police (PSP) announced in a statement sent to newsrooms.
The PSP further notes that the arrests are linked to two previous thefts that occurred in May and June of this year, which resulted in losses totaling approximately 18,000 euros, corresponding to perfumes and sunglasses from various brands.
At the time of interception, the suspects were found in possession of several stolen items, valued at around 6,000 euros.
The PSP immediately seized the items and returned them to the owner.
The detainees have been named as defendants and are subject to identity and residence terms.
