Tax payments can be made via direct debit, and the Tax Authority (AT) highlighted three key points to consider in a post shared on social media.
The points are as follows:
- There are no costs, and it can be done on the Finance Portal;
- You can choose the tax you want to pay by direct debit and set the maximum amount you authorize to be debited from your account, as well as the deadline until which the subscription remains valid;
- A notification is sent before the debit is made and after the payment is completed.
“To pay an amount by direct debit, whose payment is due in a particular month, or on the first working day of the following month, the subscription process should be completed before the 15th of that month (or the 10th, for payment in installments),” the AT further explains in the same post.
