
Three 18-year-old surfers needed assistance on Saturday afternoon at São Lourenço Beach, Ericeira, while surfing.
The National Maritime Authority (AMN) reported on social media that they received an alert at 16:32 indicating that “three people were in trouble in the water.”
Upon arrival, it was found that two young individuals had managed to exit the water independently. However, a rescue was required for the third individual who remained in the water.
The rescued person was subsequently transported to Ericeira Fishing Port.
All three victims were in good physical condition and did not require medical assistance.
Responding to the incident were crew members from the Ericeira Lifeguard Station, elements of the Ericeira Volunteer Firefighters, the Port Captaincy, and the Local Maritime Police Command.
