Three men, aged between 21 and 23, have been arrested, and another three, aged between 18 and 46, have been named as suspects in connection with a robbery in Loulé, the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, the authority said that the arrests took place last Monday, June 16, “as part of an ongoing investigation over the past five months related to a street robbery in the city of Quarteira.”
During the operation, three home searches were conducted, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the charging of three others.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of 226 doses of cocaine, 219 doses of hashish, 100 doses of cannabis, three revolvers, a shotgun, four knives, 39 rounds of ammunition, three spent cartridges, three mobile phones, a gold ring, a gold necklace, a watch, three digital scales, a grinder with hashish residue, 29 ziplock bags, a roll of cling film, and 2,815 euros in cash.
The arrested individuals were charged, and the case has been reported to the Faro Judicial Court.
