The election campaign for the May 18 legislative elections concluded on Friday, marking the last of the 13 campaign days with the traditional descent of Chiado, in Lisbon, by the AD and Socialist Party (PS).
Contrary to expectations, Chega’s president, André Ventura, returned to the electoral campaign in the final action in Lisbon, delivering a speech highlighting the party’s strength in his absence.
The final day was also characterized by an exchange of criticisms between the Right and the Left.
The AD concluded its campaign with a rally at Campo Pequeno, while the PS wrapped up its socialist campaign at the party headquarters in Largo do Rato.
Saturday, May 17, is a day of reflection, with no campaigns or news about the legislative elections allowed.
