Tiago Grila involved in assaults during popular festivals in Moura

The influencer Tiago Grila was involved in an altercation at the Festas de Nossa Senhora do Ó in Sobral da Adiça, Moura, on Saturday night. The National Republican Guard (GNR) attended the scene but received no complaints regarding the incident.

Grila had previously been named a suspect in a case involving the failure to assist, after admitting in a podcast to a hit-and-run incident in Amadora in January 2024.

On Saturday night, videos shared on social media depicted Grila engaged in a physical altercation near the stage at the Festas de Nossa Senhora do Ó. In one video, the influencer is shown being escorted away by two security personnel, but he manages to break free and attempts to retaliate. Further footage reveals a crowd attacking him with punches.

The altercations reportedly stemmed from an argument between Tiago Grila and a member of the Festas de Nossa Senhora do Ó Committee, a continuation of a dispute that occurred at the same event in 2023.

The GNR confirmed that they arrived when the situation had already been pacified and Grila was no longer present. The authority also stated they received no complaints about the incident.

Controversy surrounding Tiago Grila erupted in January when he revealed on ‘Podcast do Mestre’ that he had “hit a person with his car and fled the scene.”

The confession went viral on social media, prompting an investigation which confirmed the incident took place on January 17, 2024, near the Bingo in Amadora, Lisbon.

Grila later claimed the secret was a fabricated story and merely a “marketing strategy.” The victim sustained several injuries and psychological trauma from the accident.

In an interview with SIC Notícias, the victim recalled recognizing the situation upon hearing Grila’s podcast confession. “I relived the entire accident,” she recounted, adding that she broke her arm, received stitches on her head, and broke her front teeth during the incident, which “are still not fully repaired.”

A woman claiming to be the victim of Tiago Grila’s alleged hit-and-run described the ordeal on the night of January 17 of the previous year.

After the case gained media attention, Grila expressed his “surprise” at the news, which he said mistakenly linked him to the incident.

“I want to make it clear that this association with me is completely false and unfounded,” he wrote on social media. In subsequent interviews, he denied any wrongdoing, insisting it was a “marketing” tactic.

In February, Tiago Grila traveled to Angola, citing “security concerns.” “Due to security issues, many threats I’ve been receiving, until this is resolved, I’m taking a short vacation,” he stated on TikTok.

He returned weeks later, at the end of March, claiming to be “completely calm” as he “believes in Portuguese justice.” In June, he was named a suspect by the public prosecutor.
