
“According to reports from various collaborators and people at the scene, it was a fight between two groups that culminated in a gunshot fired at the ground,” the entity stated in a release, adding that “there were no injuries” resulting from this incident.
In statements to Lusa, a source from the PSP confirmed “an incident at Time Out Market” involving gunfire, noting that the suspects were on the run.
The noise caused, said Time Out Market management, “naturally generated concern among people in the vicinity.”
However, “the police authorities were immediately present at the scene for some time, gathering testimonies and further information about the event,” it noted.
The entity also highlighted that “the activity at Time Out Market Lisbon immediately returned to normal, maintaining all safety standards for employees, visitors, and store owners.”
It recalled that “in eleven years of activity, there has never been any incident of this kind inside TOM, nor in the surroundings — this was the first time, and it was outside the space.”
“The safety and well-being of our visitors, more than four million people annually, is a priority,” it concluded.
A shooting occurred this evening at Time Out Market in Cais do Sodré, Lisbon, with the suspects on the run, but no injuries were reported, a source from the metropolitan command of the PSP told Lusa.
“We confirm an incident at Time Out Market tonight” involving gunfire, “but there are no injuries to report,” stated a PSP command official in the capital to Lusa, without providing further details such as the time of the incident or its possible causes.
The same source only added that “the suspects were on the run.”
