The summer season is ideal for family hikes, beach days, and travels across the country. Ensuring safety is paramount, especially keeping an eye on young children.
To enhance children’s safety, the Public Security Police (PSP) launched the ‘Estou Aqui!’ program for children a few years ago.
This initiative is designed to ensure children’s safety, facilitating their prompt location if they go missing.
The wristbands are free and secure, featuring an anonymous alphanumeric identification code. They are available for children aged 2 to 15 years and are valid nationwide.
“Because the safety of children is everyone’s mission,” reads the PSP’s post on Facebook.
How to request the wristband?
Wristbands can be requested through the Program Estou Aqui! Children website at estouaqui.mai.gov.pt/Pages/Home.htm.
After registering, applicants should visit the selected PSP police station to collect the wristbands.
