At approximately 5:00 PM, a tragic accident involving a tractor occurred, as reported by António Justino, the commander of the Oliveira de Azeméis Fire Department. The incident took place in a forested area at Nespereira de Baixo, within the Union of Parishes of Pinheiro da Bemposta, Travanca, and Palmaz.
Commander Justino explained, “The tractor overturned, and the man was trapped under the trailer.” Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found the victim in cardiac arrest.
Despite resuscitation efforts, they were unsuccessful, and the on-site death was confirmed by a physician from the National Institute of Medical Emergency.
