The vehicle reportedly lost control and collided with the post, which subsequently fell, according to the Porto Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
An official from GNR stated to Lusa that “traffic has returned to normal and the situation has been resolved.”
The Civil Protection source in Porto indicated they were unaware of the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether it could be related to the adverse weather conditions affecting the region.
Emergency services dispatched to the scene included volunteers from Moreira da Maia, Pedrouços, and Leça do Balio firefighting units, as well as INEM.
