
An accident that led to the closure of highway A5 in the Cascais-Lisbon direction at kilometer 6 has been resolved as of Wednesday afternoon.
The alert was issued at 3:51 PM, confirmed by Brisa, prompting traffic to be diverted along the shoulder.
The incident in Linda-a-Velha, just after the exit for the National Stadium, resulted in no injuries.
By 5:00 PM, the situation had been addressed. Brisa Concessão Rodoviária expressed gratitude for the “understanding of the users of this route” in a statement to the press.
According to the Civil Protection website, ten personnel supported by four vehicles were on the scene as of 4:30 PM.
Firefighters and the National Republican Guard were present at the site.
