Traffic resumed in Porto after being cut off by pro-Palestinian protesters.

Protesters vacated the pedestrian area in front of the Rivoli Municipal Theater and blocked traffic at 8:00 PM, prompting police to reroute vehicles. The demonstration dispersed by 10:10 PM.

Chants filled the square, featuring phrases like “Long live the struggle of the Palestinian people, Israel is a murderous state” and slogans such as “Free Palestine.”

Among the approximately one thousand demonstrators at D. João I Square, dozens of Palestinian flags were visible, alongside signs demanding freedom for those aboard the intercepted Global Sumud Flotilla, including Mariana Mortágua and Sofia Aparício.

After halting traffic, the protesters began a spontaneous march for a few meters down Rua de Passos Manuel, stopping at the first traffic lights where they blocked vehicular circulation until 10:10 PM.

Thousands took to the streets in solidarity with the flotilla. See the images
