The depression Claudia continues its destructive path across the country, with the latest Civil Protection report indicating that nearly 2,500 incidents have been recorded from 2 PM on Wednesday until 11 AM this Friday.
Social media platforms are flooded with images of the damage, particularly concerning fallen trees.
The Oeiras Municipality has issued an alert, detailed below, following several incidents in the area during the afternoon.
A source from the Oeiras Volunteer Fire Brigade informed Notícias ao Minuto that at least ten trees have fallen in the last few hours.
The source confirmed that no injuries were reported in any of the incidents, although some were more severe. In one case, a Jeep was struck by a tree. The vehicle was carrying four people, yet no injuries were reported.
Another tree hit a building, causing damage, particularly to balconies. Again, no one was injured.
