Three people were arrested on suspicion of robbery and rape of an 80-year-old woman in the municipality of Anadia, the Judicial Police (PJ) revealed this Monday in a press release.
According to the investigators, the crimes took place on July 1st at the victim’s residence. The suspects began by forcing entry into the victim’s home to rob her, and ended up “restraining and raping” her as well.
One of the perpetrators had already been arrested on July 16th. The other two were arrested now. They are two men and one woman, aged between 28 and 43 years old.
According to the PJ, two of them already have “extensive similar criminal records, having served effective prison sentences.”
When brought before the court for their first judicial interrogation, all three were placed in pre-trial detention.
