“The challenge is ambitious and stimulating, much like all those that have been undertaken throughout Trovante’s rich history: living it all in one night, a theme elevated from a verse of ‘Memórias de Um Beijo’, one of many songs by the group that have swiftly found their place in anthologies. In truth, there will be two nights—the first on March 21, 2026, at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, and the second on March 28, 2026, at Super Bock in Porto,” a statement released today confirmed.
Founded in 1976, the band disbanded in 1990, the year they released their last original album, “Um Destes Dias,” but have reunited on several occasions since. One notable reunion took place at the O Sol da Caparica festival in 2017.
According to Sons em Trânsito, “For Luís Represas, João Gil, Manuel Faria, Artur Costa, Fernando Júdice, António José Martins, José Salgueiro, and João Nuno Represas, all of whom boast solid and prominent careers, either solo or in other projects, this is a natural—and desired—revival of a joint and unique proposal that always left longing, even if it was for the future.”
Trovante is known for classic tracks such as ‘Namoro II’, ‘125 azul’, ‘Perdidamente’, ‘Timor’, ‘Saudade’, ‘Balada das sete saias’, and ‘Fizeram os dias assim’.
The group’s history is chronicled in the book ‘Trovante – Por Detrás do Palco’, written by Manuel Faria and published in 2003.
Tickets for the March 2026 shows are already on sale, with prices ranging from 25 to 80 euros.
