A man sustained minor injuries following an accident involving a heavy goods vehicle on Estrada Nacional 10 in Alverca, Lisbon district.
The Public Security Police’s Lisbon Metropolitan Command (Cometlis) informed Notícias ao Minuto that they received the accident alert at 1:54 p.m., and traffic remained affected for three hours afterwards.
The truck veered off course, hitting a traffic light before overturning. There were no reports of additional vehicle damage or injuries. Despite the light injuries, the man was taken to Vila Franca de Xira Hospital.
Initially, both lanes were closed, but one lane is now open in both directions with officers present to ensure safe traffic flow. Alverca firefighters were also on the scene.
