A truck driver allegedly attempted to run over a group of workers participating in a strike picket at the entrance of Lomar at the Bosch Complex in Braga.
The incident occurred early in the morning at around 4:30 a.m., when the vehicle drove towards the group of about ten workers.
One worker fell while trying to dodge the attempted run-over.
One of those present, Nuno Reininho, described the incident as a “huge scare.” “The truck driver charged at us when we were peacefully standing by the crosswalk. He did not stop, and one of my colleagues even fell,” he explained.
The truck driver allegedly did not stop, and the PSP was called to the scene.
Notícias ao Minuto contacted the Braga Public Security Police, which stated that they had no specific knowledge of the incident and could not confirm if officers deployed to various pickets during the early hours attended the location.
