A truck caught fire and was completely consumed by flames, but no injuries have been reported, a source from the Vila Real District Command for Relief Operations stated.
The incident on the A4, reported at 04:57, according to the Civil Protection portal, occurred at “kilometer 116 in the east-west direction, near exit 27, towards Alto Pópulo,” the same source indicated.
Eighteen personnel and six vehicles are on site, with firefighters conducting “clean-up operations, and there is no estimate yet for the road reopening,” the source clarified.
