A truck veered off course and knocked down an overhead information sign on Highway No. 1 (A1) near Torres Novas early Friday afternoon, confirmed the Territorial Command of Santarém of the National Republican Guard (GNR).
The incident occurred at around 1:30 PM at kilometer 92 in the South/North direction, resulting in “two lanes being blocked.” There is no information regarding any injuries.
Brisa stated in a press release that “traffic on the A1 in the South-North direction is restricted due to an incident near Torres Novas, and congestion is expected to continue over the next few hours.”
