The Industrial Turnover Index experienced a nominal year-on-year change of 4.4% in February, up from 0.6% in the previous month, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) reported on Tuesday.
Excluding the Energy group, the turnover increased by 2.0%, compared to a decrease of 1.3% in January.
The indices for the domestic and external markets showed variations of 7.1% and 0.2%, respectively, in contrast to the previous month’s figures of 3.8% and -4.6%.
Year-on-year, employment declined by 0.6%, while the index of remuneration saw an increase of 4.0%, compared to -0.5% and 5.6% in January.
