The government has announced that the country will be under a yellow weather warning due to forecasts of heavy showers and thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA).
The districts of Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Faro, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Beja, Castelo Branco, Coimbra and Portalegre will be under warning between 12:00 and 21:00 today due to the forecast of locally heavy showers, sometimes hail and accompanied by thunderstorms.
A yellow warning is issued whenever there is a risk situation for certain weather-dependent activities.
