According to the PSP, 13 arrests were for driving under the influence of alcohol, four for driving without a license, one for disobedience, one for drug possession, and one other for dangerous driving.
The operations, which took place between midnight and 7 a.m. in five different locations, resulted in hundreds of drivers being checked.
During the operations, 119 official offense reports were issued, and ten vehicles were seized, including three that were flagged for seizure in the PSP’s computer systems.
Police also confiscated approximately 40 grams of drugs, 78 grams of an unidentified substance, and 760 euros.
About 125 police officers from various divisions of the PSP participated in the operations.
According to the PSP, these road inspection operations aimed to enhance police visibility, detect and monitor major risk behaviors associated with driving, directly impacting road accident rates.
