A head-on collision involving three light vehicles, two passenger cars and a goods vehicle, resulted in three serious injuries, according to a source from the Sub-regional Command of the Metropolitan Area of Porto.
“We have information that a vehicle invaded the opposite lane causing a head-on collision,” the source added.
The same source, who confirmed that the injured were being assisted on site, could not specify the exact kilometer where the traffic was restricted, only indicating that it occurred in Maia.
The alert was given at 04:36, and according to the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection’s website, around 06:15 today, 37 operatives supported by 16 vehicles were present at the scene.
