The accident occurred at 5:16 PM at kilometer 24 of the A24 near Vidago, in the municipality of Chaves, Vila Real district.
As a result of the collision, two people were killed, one person sustained serious injuries, and three others suffered minor injuries, according to the GNR.
The A24 is currently closed, with a detour in Vidago in the Vila Real – Chaves direction.
The website of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) reports that 19 personnel, including firefighters, GNR officers, and INEM staff, were mobilized to the site, supported by 14 vehicles and a helicopter.
