Due to adverse conditions, two scheduled landings were canceled: a TAP flight from Lisbon at 1:50 PM and a Ryanair flight from London at 2:00 PM.
By 6:30 PM, ANA reported that since 3:40 PM, flights had been redirected to Porto Santo and Tenerife airports. These included Tuifly flights from Hanover, Frankfurt, and Dusseldorf, Wizz Air Hungary flights from Warsaw and Katowice, Ryanair from London, and Transavia from Amsterdam.
This situation also affects corresponding departures and hundreds of passengers, with pilots taking advantage of brief improvements in weather conditions, known as “abertas,” to land on the island of Madeira.
