
A fire that broke out today in Sabrosa, in the Vila Real district, has two active fronts burning with great intensity, necessitating the defense of the village of Sobrados, according to a source from the Douro sub-regional command.
The alert for the fire was given at 3:06 PM in the area of Paradela de Guiães, and it’s burning in a region of mature forest.
The source indicated that the fire is advancing on two fronts and reinforcements are being dispatched to the operational theater.
According to the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC), as of 5:30 PM, 199 personnel, 51 vehicles, and six aerial units were mobilized to the location.
