A collision resulting from the skidding of a vehicle has been reported by the deputy commander of the Carcavelos and São Domingos de Rana Fire Department, Pedro Carvalho. The incident occurred when the skidding vehicle crashed into a Brisa vehicle that was providing assistance to another accident at the 12.100-kilometer mark on the A5 highway.
A total of 11 vehicles from various entities, including three fire engines, were deployed to the scene, comprising 18 personnel, ten of whom were firefighters, as stated by the same official.
The two individuals with minor injuries were transported to the Cascais hospital, added the deputy commander.
