Two people were injured, one seriously, following a collision between two light vehicles early Saturday afternoon in Montargil, in the municipality of Ponte de Sor.
The victim who sustained minor injuries was transported to the hospital in Abrantes, confirmed to have been verified by the Alto Alentejo Sub-regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection.
The seriously injured individual is being stabilized at the scene at the time of this report.
The ages and genders of the victims have not yet been determined.
The alert was given at 12:06 p.m.
On the scene are 22 operatives, including members of the National Republican Guard (GNR), the Volunteer Firefighters of Ponte de Sor, the Immediate Life Support Ambulance (SIV), and the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) from Médio Tejo, accompanied by eight vehicles and an air unit from INEM.
