
According to the Coimbra Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, an incident occurred within the urban perimeter of Mealhada, with an alert issued at 6:08 p.m. Initially, there were concerns about the severity of the accident, but it was later determined to be less serious than anticipated.
“There were two minor injuries,” reported the source, who could not confirm the details surrounding the accident, such as whether the victims were on their own or part of a larger group.
Emergency response at the scene included two ambulances from Mealhada’s volunteer fire department, a medical rapid response unit from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) based in Cantanhede, a medical emergency and resuscitation vehicle from Coimbra, and law enforcement from the GNR, who documented the incident.
