Authorities have concluded searches that began this morning, involving the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the PSP, resulting in the execution of two detention warrants issued in this case.
The matter concerns suspicions of crimes including torture, aggravated assault, embezzlement, and forgery, as indicated by the Office of the Attorney General (PGR) in a statement published on its website this morning.
“So far, approximately a dozen offenses have been reported”, the PGR added, noting that the PSP brought the facts under investigation.
Searches took place in several stations within the first Police Division of Lisbon, with a police source confirming to Lusa that they occurred, at least, in the Bairro Alto and Rato stations.
In addition to the searches at police stations, the Public Prosecutor’s Office also conducted home searches.
