Two men, aged 25 and 26, were arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) of the Lisbon Metropolitan Command on Thursday, on suspicion of drug trafficking.
The PSP stated in a communiqué that the “arrest took place following a police stop of a vehicle,” where authorities detected “a strong odor of narcotics.” This led to an “arrest in flagrante delicto” and the “execution of searches.”
The operation resulted in the seizure of 2,142 individual doses of a substance suspected to be hashish, 149 individual doses of a substance suspected to be ecstasy, 28 individual doses of a substance suspected to be cannabis, two precision scales, three knives with traces of narcotics, a cutting board with traces of narcotics, a sealing machine, and various bags used for packaging the substance.
The two suspects were released after “contacting the Judicial Authority.”
