Two young men died in the early hours of Thursday following a car accident involving a light vehicle in the parish of Palmeira, Braga, confirmed by the National Republican Guard (GNR).
The local newspaper, O Minho, reported that the accident alert was issued at 4:17 a.m. and that the vehicle veered off the road, crashing into an electricity pole and a wall.
The deceased were two male individuals, aged between 20 and 30 years. Their deaths were declared at the scene.
Present at the site were the Braga Municipal Firefighters, the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) of Braga, and the National Republican Guard.
Upon contact, the Braga Territorial Command of the GNR confirmed the incident but indicated further details would be provided later.
