“We have submitted a strike notice, in accordance with the UGT’s decision, for December 11. Until the 11th, we are fully available for dialogue and negotiation. We are ready to sit at the table,” stated UGT’s general secretary, Mário Mourão, speaking to journalists after delivering the general strike notice at the Ministry of Labor in Lisbon.
CGTP and UGT have decided to call a general strike for December 11, in response to the government’s draft law for labor legislation reform.
