Three individuals were injured in an accident in Guilhabreu, Vila do Conde, on Saturday afternoon during an “unauthorized race,” according to the Porto Territorial Command of the Republican National Guard (GNR).
Among the victims, two sustained minor injuries and are identified as males aged 14 and 20. The third, a 45-year-old man, is in serious condition.
The accident alert was raised around 6:30 PM at a “private” location where GNR did not enter. The area is known for hosting the Motor Show Fest, an event without “sports licensing” or permissions related to noise.
Social media images capture the moment a car veered off the track, hitting the side barriers and causing spectators in that area to fall. Watch the video in our gallery.
Additional photos show the car extensively damaged, with the front end completely destroyed and a substance resembling oil on the ground.

The event’s Instagram page announced that, “out of respect for what happened, the race track will not reopen.” It added, “However, to respect those present, the venue will remain partially open.”

At the scene, GNR confirmed the presence of firefighters, though it did not specify the unit. Reports indicate the involvement of the Vila do Conde Firefighters, the Red Cross, and INEM.
