The union, in a released statement, argues that there remains a differentiated and unjust treatment among professionals performing similar roles within the internal security system, a situation it claims leads to an unacceptable asymmetry and feelings of discontent among PSP members.
Before proceeding with the necessary judicial mechanisms, SNOP decided to promote institutional and political awareness about this differentiated treatment, aiming to challenge the constitutionality of the legislation that determines the calculation methods for police pensions.
In this regard, the union announces it has submitted a request for review to parliamentary groups, the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the President of the Assembly of the Republic, and the Attorney General.
