The Board of Directors of the Competition Authority has decided to adopt a non-opposition decision regarding the merger operation, according to information released today by the AdC.
The regulator justified its position by stating that this operation is not likely to create “significant obstacles” to competition in the market.
On May 19, it was announced that Caetano 8 intended to purchase 75% of the capital of the Multimoto group.
Caetano 8 is a company belonging to the Salvador Caetano group, which operates in the trade and repair of automobiles, as well as parts for them.
The Multimoto group imports and distributes mopeds and is also involved in the homologation of tractors and jet skis.
