The data from the survey conducted by the Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries (AICCOPN) on companies operating in the urban rehabilitation sector, referenced to August 2025, indicate an acceleration in activity levels, coupled with a continued positive trend in order books and municipal licensing.
In the month under review, the order book index rose by 5.7% compared to August 2024, “reinforcing the growing demand trend in this segment.”
Production under contract, an indicator that estimates the average time of work guaranteed by companies at a normal pace of execution, increased to 10.8 months, compared to 10.1 months recorded in August of the previous year.
Regarding municipal licensing for urban rehabilitation works, 3,837 licenses were issued by July, marking a 5% increase over the same period the previous year.
According to AICCOPN, this result is mainly due to the increase in licenses for residential buildings, totaling 2,322 licenses issued.
The association noted that these licensing figures pertain only to interventions subject to prior municipal control and do not reflect the entirety of urban rehabilitation activity.
