A young woman was injured in the early hours today when a vehicle was fired upon on a street in Seixal, Setúbal district. The incident, which occurred around 01:05, is under investigation by the Polícia Judiciária.
The PSP reported that 20 shots were fired.
One of the shots hit a young woman inside the car. She was assisted by the Seixal’s Mixed Firefighters and transported to Hospital Garcia de Orta in Almada, where she is now in stable condition.
The shooting took place on Avenida Vasco da Gama, just a few meters from the PSP station in Seixal. A bullet also struck the window of a nearby pastry shop.
The PSP confirmed that the Polícia Judiciária was called to the scene and is responsible for conducting all necessary investigative procedures.
