The tragic derailment of the Glória elevator in Lisbon has deeply saddened the nation, expressed André Ventura on the social media platform, X.
The leader of the Chega party noted that “the lives lost and the injured leave a painful mark” on the city of Lisbon, conveying “solidarity to the families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.”
The Glória elevator derailed this Wednesday at 18:04 on the Calçada da Glória in Lisbon.
The National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) reported that the accident resulted in 15 deaths and 18 injuries, with five in serious condition and 13 sustaining minor injuries.
