Authorities resumed the search on Monday morning for a paragliding enthusiast who reportedly went missing at Furnas Beach in Vila do Bispo on Sunday, as confirmed by the National Maritime Authority (AMN).
According to the AMN, the search operations involve crew members from the Sagres Lifeboat Station, personnel from the Lagos Maritime Police Command, and members of the Vila do Bispo Volunteer Firefighters.
The search operations are being coordinated by the Port Captain and Local Maritime Police Commander in Lagos.
The alert was raised at 5:20 PM yesterday.
A bystander in the area informed emergency services that there was “paragliding equipment in the water,” which subsequently triggered the search efforts.
