“The net result is lower compared to the same period last year, primarily due to increased depreciation from ongoing investments and the rise in energy costs,” the company stated.
On the other hand, the consolidated revenue for the first quarter of 2025 reached 36.3 million euros, marking an 18% growth compared to the same period last year.
“In the first three months of 2025, the products of the brands Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro continued their growth trajectory in both physical and online retail, nationally and internationally, resulting in a 7.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024,” the company further reported.
According to Vista Alegre, the foreign market accounts for 78.3% of the total revenue, with sales reaching 28.4 million euros, highlighting “growth of 129% and 99% in sales in the Netherlands and Italy, respectively.”
The group’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for the first quarter of 2025 “reached 6.6 million euros, representing a growth of 0.9% compared to the previous year,” it added.
“The 27% increase in energy costs compared to the same period last year negatively impacted the EBITDA margin by 3 percentage points,” the company noted, indicating that the group’s investment in decarbonization “will enable greater energy efficiency in the production process, aiming to reduce energy costs in the short term.”
The cumulative investment in the first quarter was 3.5 million euros, primarily dedicated to decarbonization projects.
