The swearing-in ceremony of this advisory and propositional body, established with the aim of “contributing to the strategic planning of the PS’s political action” with a time horizon until 2050, takes place late this afternoon at the PS headquarters in Lisbon.
Among the more than 90 individuals joining this body created by José Luís Carneiro are dozens of former government officials, names from the PS, as well as independents, including a former CDS vice president and former official Filipe Lobo d’Ávila.
Notable personalities include former ministers such as José António Vieira da Silva, Pedro Siza Vieira, Tiago Brandão Rodrigues, Maria de Lurdes Rodrigues, Fernando Medina, Alexandra Leitão, António Costa Silva, Eduardo Cabrita, Maria Manuel Leitão Marques, and Adalberto Campos Fernandes, among others.
Former parliamentary presidents Augusto Santos Silva and Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, along with former European Commissioner António Vitorino, are also part of this body.
