The Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP) has noted that if the forecasts for the coming week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel could fall to 1.52 €/l, while simple gasoline 95 might decrease to 1.669 €/l.
The Brent crude barrel price for June delivery closed on Thursday in the London futures market with a decrease of 3.28%, settling at 63.33 dollars.
This drop is being attributed to the market’s assessment of the 90-day tariff pause announced yesterday by the United States.
North Sea crude, a reference in Europe, ended the session down by 2.15 dollars compared to the previous day on the International Exchange (ICE), where it stood at 65.48 dollars.
Oil Nears Four-Year Lows
“Oil continues to decline, with Brent falling 0.3% to 63.13 dollars and WTI dropping 0.5% to 60.11 dollars—both remain near four-year lows. These declines are still supported by demand concerns related to the US-China trade war,” stated XTB in a commentary.
