Wall Street opens mixed after previous day’s records

At 2:42 PM in Lisbon, the Nasdaq decreased by 0.24% to 20,924.05 points, while the Dow Jones rose by 0.26% to 44,438.25 points, and the S&P500 increased by 0.06% to 6,309.33 points.

On Monday, the New York Stock Exchange closed with new records in the Nasdaq and S&P500 indexes.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq and the broader S&P500 gained 0.38% and 0.14%, respectively, reaching unprecedented closing levels of 20,974.17 points and 6,305.60.

Meanwhile, without following the upward trend, the selective Dow Jones Industrial Average did not hinder the session’s environment, declining slightly by 0.04%.

Several companies are releasing their results this week, including Tesla and Alphabet, Google’s parent company.

This week is also marked by updates on residential real estate sales, unemployment claims, and the industry in the United States.

Markets have stabilized after President Donald Trump’s tariff announcements caused violent fluctuations, sometimes varying significantly from one day to the next or even hour by hour.
