At 2:50 PM Lisbon time, the Dow Jones index rose by 1.30% to 42,871.85 points, while the Nasdaq increased by 1.43% to 19,574.95 points.
Meanwhile, the broad S&P 500 climbed 1.25% to 6,013.37 points.
Tesla, after losing more than 14% the previous day, gained 3.5% from the start of the session.
The U.S. Department of Labor released May’s employment data today, indicating that the unemployment rate remained at 4.2% and 139,000 new jobs were created.
The gains on Wall Street were mirrored in major European markets, with the continent’s leading indices advancing from the opening.
Wall Street closed lower on Thursday.
The session results show the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.25%, the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.83%, and the S&P 500 decreased 0.53%.
In the foreign exchange market, the euro was traded at 1.1393 dollars.
