The New York Stock Exchange was trading positively today, nearing the historical highs recorded in February.
At approximately 2:37 PM in Lisbon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.47% and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.22%, advancing to 43,184.13 points and 20,016.64 points, respectively.
Simultaneously, the broader S&P 500 increased by 0.36% to 6,113.99 points.
Notable early gainers included graphics card manufacturer Nvidia, which rose by 4.33%, and Goldman Sachs, which gained 1.17%.
On Wednesday, Wall Street closed mixed.
The Dow Jones ended down 0.25% at 42,982.43 points, compared to its record high since the index’s inception in 1896, which was 45,014.04 points on December 4, 2024.
The Nasdaq, known for its tech-heavy listings, closed up 0.31% at 19,973.55 points, against its all-time high of 20,173.89 points, observed on December 16, 2024.
Shortly after Wall Street opened, the euro was trading at $1.1710, and Brent crude for August delivery slightly advanced to $68.05 per barrel.
