A 30-year-old man was arrested by the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) through the 5th Police Division on September 1 at 8:10 PM in the Penha de França parish in Lisbon.
The arrest involved the crimes of driving without a legal license and unlawful appropriation by accession.
The suspect “was driving a passenger car and, upon inspection, officers found that he did not have a legal driving document, which led to his arrest,” stated the PSP in a press release on Wednesday.
During a “summary search of the suspect,” the PSP continued, “six bank cards from different owners and banks were found in his possession, for which he could not provide justification”, leading to their confiscation.
The suspect was made an official defendant, provided Personal Identification and Residence Statement, and was brought before the judicial authority for the application of the relevant coercive measures.
